So Summit Entertainment, the film studio behind the hit movie "Twilight", just released some news you probably already know, and some that you don't know. Here are the 7 things Summit has just announced:

1) The third film in the "Twilight" series will be officially named "Eclipse." This is probably a no-brainer as both Twilight and ‘New Moon' were based on the title of their book counterparts.

2) The series will now be called "The Twilight Saga." Isn't that what's its being called for the last several months? Anyway, Summit has decided to use this term for marketing purposes.

3) Eclipse already has a release date: On June 30, 2010. That's a Wednesday folks!

4) The plot of the "Eclipse" film has been released. Read on below:

"As Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger," the plotline explains of the film based on Stephenie Meyer's "Eclipse" novel. "In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob - knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella has one more decision to make: life or death."

5) New Moon and Eclipse will not be shot back-to-back. "New Moon" will start filming this March, so after it has been wrapped up, we'll experience another down time without Kristen Stewart or Robert Pattinson sightings. Oh nooo!

6) "New Moon" director Chris Weitz  has not yet signed a contract for "Eclipse." He can become the second Catherine Hardwicke, who worked on the film "Twilight" and didn't pursue the following film. Weitz may or may not be directing "Eclipse."

7) Meyer's final book, "Breaking Dawn" will most likely be turned into a movie. That is, if Summit decides to release the last of the Twilight saga.Meyer has been open about her plans about the final series, saying that she'd like "Breaking Dawn" filmed into two separate movies.

Summit hasn't said anything about continuing the saga beyond "Eclipse."
